Food 4.0/5.0 Service 3.5/5.0 Value 3.5/5.0 Decor 3.0/5.0 Overall 4.0/5.0 Neapolitan style pizza was on point though a bit large (weird thing to say, I get it). The chicken parma wedge was ok... the chicken was meh but the roll was a top notch. Pizza was definitely go but opinions may vary as to just how high this places. Either way, I'd go back.

What was I thinking to wait this looong to give my honest review about this FABULOUS Pizza place!! ;)) WOW!!! We came on 5/30/2024 for dinner to celebrate my honey Carlos belated birthday (5/28th) :)) The hostess was kind to seat our good family friends ahead of time while we were running late! When we all were settled..we had the great pleasure of being serviced by Stephan! He's a wonderful person as regular customers we had him before! He took our order of a Large Pepperoni with mushrooms pizza and Motörhead Square Pizza (Detroit Pizza) it was thick and all yummy! We had ordered separate salads! Our friend Russ had the Little Italy and me & honey shared the regular Caesar salad! Forgot to say with chicken..Lol! But it's still delicious with the extra anchovies on it! Soo good!! Every staff there is always very helpful never disappointed when we eat there! Overall the ambiance and the awesome service we received from Stephan! Then he introduced us to Ariel very kind man! Then I assumed Mr.Natali is one of the Partners/Owners of the Tony's Pizza is such a gracious and wonderful man who gave Carlos Cannoli (one pistachio and other one was chocolate chip) for all of us to share! Sooo Yummy!!! :)) Our birthday experience @ Tony's made all our hearts happy and Carlos special birthday epic! Thank you soo mucho Stephan..Ariel and Mr. Natali! We are forever humbled and grateful! May your restaurant place have many more Blessings to come! :~} We love you guys! Many thanks to our beautiful Sister Aleda and Russ for treating us to an Amazing unforgettable dinner! ;))

A great place for killer pizza. Quick service from the take out window. Pizza was different and oh so good. Next time I am here I'll have to try a calzone.

We got the recommendation to visit Tony's from our winery host in Napa Valley. As soon as we returned to the bay area, we headed straight for Tony's pizza. I think we arrived around 9 PM and were shocked to see how long the line was to get inside the restaurant. We tried to put our name down but were told the wait for two was about an hour and a half and they couldn't guarantee we would get a table because they also closed in an hour and a half; we could go a few doors down in ordered takeout from Tony's Slice House instead. So that's what we did. I was disappointed to see this was our only option because we really wanted to try the margarita and New Yorker pizzas and they offered neither of these as slices at Slice House. You could order a New Yorker whole pie but that was too much food for us. The staff was very friendly. We had a good conversation with the cashier, and the order came out quickly. Pizza was really good, I just wish I could've tasted the other varieties, maybe next time. Something else I was shocked about was the fact that it was freezing outside (if you know, you know) and people were sitting at outdoor tables like it was a hot summer day, enjoying their pizza. Another thing I love about San Francisco. :) Enjoyed the Grand Slam pizza from here. I thought it was very tasty and hope I get to return.

We came in today and Brandon was our server He suggested the Meatball and we were fighting over it! He also suggested Spicy margaritas which was very tasty. He picked our pizza which did not disappoint. I will definitely comeback before I head back home to Hawaii thanks Brandon!!!

The ingredients are the freshest at Tony's. Healthy is not a word I would typically use to describe pizza, but the pizza here is so clean, it does actually taste pretty healthy. My friend and I wanted to order one of the pizzas with meat and we were between the New Yorker and Grandma the Butcher. I asked the staff for their recommendation and received an immediate and enthusiastic "New Yorker" in response, which made our decision-making easy. The pizza arrived shortly and covered the table it was so massive. I liked how the crust was thin but not too thin, so it didn't dilute the flavours of the toppings. A solid choice, and I would like to try other options in the future. Overall a great experience with only a couple issues. We arrived at the beginning of the dinner rush and were asked if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating. I asked if there was shade outside, and the staff confirmed there was. However, for the first half of the meal, I was in direct sunlight on my right side and needed to shade my face. The only other minor inconvenience was that we were seated on a slope, and yes, I know North Beach is very hilly, but the table was so tiny, there was barely any space to set my stuff and I had to get a bit creative, or else my stuff would fall onto the ground. Not unmanageable, but if dining outside here, you really gotta consolidate your stuff.

If you want Tony's pizza, put yourself on the waitlist a few hours before you go! I put our group of 4 on the list at 5:30 pm, but we did not get seated until after 8:30 pm. Of course, we were STARVING! However, I'll try to go on the waitlist earlier next time! Would 4 hrs be sufficient? I've included a pic of the New Yorker from our first experience which, I mistakenly thought I had reviewed before. Here's what we've had so far: CAESAR SALAD ~ I didn't really care for this salad because it was really salty. Won't hold it against them. The rest of the group didn't mind it. 3/5 THE NEW YORKER ~ 9-10", 1000 degree oven, thin with a crunchy, yet chewy crust with pepperoni, Italian fennel sausage, calabrese sausage, mozzarella & ricotta cheese, chopped garlic and oregano. Can't go wrong with this one! And could order this over and over again, but I'm curious by nature, so I had to explore the menu. 5/5 GRANDMA, "THE BUTCHER" ~ square pan, 535 degree oven. We really enjoyed this one! It had a great crust and was topped with extra sweet tomato sauce, avorio mozzarella, garlic, oregano, pecorino, basil, pepperoni, salami, Italian sausage, smoked applewood bacon, hot coppa, arugula, peppadews. However, a few in our party didn't like the extra sweet sauce. It almost tasted like bbq sauce. Maybe if we chose a different Grandma pizza, it would appease everyone in our group. Otherwise, I thought the crust and toppings were perfect! It was a substantial type of pizza. 4.5/5 SICILIAN, "LA REGINA" ~ rectangular pan, 535 degree oven. This one was really good too! Pillowy, soft pizza bread that was so delicate! It's hard to describe! It's definitely one I'd recommend to try as I have never had pizza bread like this before. It was like biting into a cloud if that was even possible! On this pizza, there was soppressata picante, prosciutto di parma, avorio mozzarella, parmigiano, provolone, arugula. 5/5 NAPOLETANA, "MARGHERITA" ~ This one was ok, but probably our least favorite out of all the pizzas we've tried. It was soft, but thin. It didn't hold up too well, as it wasn't crunchy nor crispy. Pretty plain pizza topped with san marzano tomatoes, sea salt, mozzarella fior di latte, fresh basil, EVOO. 3/5 We had a lot left over, but it was amazing to sample different pizzas to find our favorites! What made our night even greater was their efficient server, Teresa Marie! We had a blast as she served us our meal and drinks! We discovered she went to the same middle and high school as we did in North Beach. Even though we are years apart, it was like a reunion! We are locals and miss living in North Beach, but we try to visit often to give back to those businesses that make North Beach special! And Tony's is one of them! We'll be back to continue sampling the menu, but so far, I'd have to agree that it is one of the BEST pizza places in the world! Oh and don't forget to drizzle their hot pepper olive oil on your pizza too! BAM!!! Take it to the next level!!!

Best pizza I ever had. No competition. The margherita is what you always hear about and it's famous for a reason. The margherita was our go to with the Sicilian for a while, up until Brandon became our waiter. Brandon, thank you so much for recommending the spicy grandma style pizza man. It goes unnoticed as not many people talk about it, but that pizza is something different. You didn't have the best of Tony's if you didn't try that pizza yet. That was an unforgettable recommendation. Plus, you were super friendly and attentive. You're the best!
